A male-to-female USB-C cable. Great for charging and data connections. What sets this cable apart from other cables is the following:

Properly foil and braid-shielded cable
We have redesigned and manufactured the cable to connect ground to the shield
Ground is also connected to the end terminals of the cable (the male plugs at each end)
This cable will ground whatever it is plugged-into when you have it plugged-into a properly grounded outlet

The problem is that switch-mode power supply when plugged-in to your device is generating high frequency voltage spikes. Your body is put into the path of these spikes. By grounding your laptop or other device with this USB Grounding Adapter, a safer and better path is given for these high frequencies to travel.

We have conducted tests that show a significant drop in human exposure to electrical current when a laptop is properly grounded vs. an ungrounded laptop, when the laptop is plugged-in to the charger. This is a large concern, and so we have created both the USB Grounding Adapter and the Ethernet Grounding Adapter.

Desktop computers with a 3-prong plug and metal body do not need to use this adapter. Laptops and other 2-prong plug devices should use this adapter. If your laptop is plugged-into a USB printer that has a 3-prong power cord, then you would only need to use this adapter when your laptop is not plugged into that printer, since the printer would be providing ground. Many printers are only 2 - prong, in which case use this adapter. Likewise if your laptop is plugged into a monitor (screen) that has a 3-prong plug, you would not need to use this adapter at that time. But it is recommended to have one at all times when traveling.
