A quick and easy way to stop neutral current on your incoming cable television/internet line! Neutral current on the coaxial (the round screw-type cable) cable that comes into your house is a very common problem. Even if you aren't currently subscribed to cable services, the cable may still be coming to your house and carrying AC current.

This AC (alternating electric current) runs between usually the neutral service wire for your electric service, and the cable TV. However, current can also travel on metal plumbing pipes (extremely common), ground rods, and other things.

Check your cable TV line where it comes into the house (on the cable provider side BEFORE it reaches a connection/wiring box) using a clamp-on amp meter. It should read zero. If you don't have an clamp meter handy, use a magnetic field meter, such as the Trifield Meter. Does the reading go up right next to the cable tv/internet wire, and you're sure it's from the wire and nothing else nearby? Then you have current on there.

This handy and very unique adapter/transformer will stop that AC current and bring your readings back down to 0 where they should be. AC current shouldn't travel on cable TV lines, and the cable and power company won't do anything about it, so here's a real solution that EMF professionals use all the time.

Find where the cable comes in - it should be grounded (connected to your electrical system or something metal) at this point.
Disconnect the two wires, note which one goes into your house (subscriber side) and which one comes from the cable company (system side).
Screw the subscriber side (your home's cable lines) into the subscriber side of the isolator. Screw the system (cable TV company) side to the system side of the isolator.
The grounding (ground bonding) should be performed on the subscriber side only. Otherwise you will bypass the transformer and the current will still be there. The grounding is usually a female to female adapter mounted inside the cable tv wiring box and it will have a wire going to a ground rod or hooking to your electrical or something metal on the electrical system nearby. So just make sure this is screwed-in on the subscriber side. That safely "grounds" your cable TV wires inside the home while electrically isolating your line to stop the unwanted current flow.

A quick and easy fix for this common problem. Isolate your house from the cable company and stop ground current sometimes called "stray voltage" on your cable TV lines.
