Gas appliances almost always have current on the gas line. This electrical current doesn't belong there and can cause magnetic fields including high-frequency fields. This happens because of "ground loops" or "rings." Even worse, when wiring errors and bad wiring practices are present, this current can get very high and cause considerable magnetic fields. This current can be measured with our Big Orange Clamp Meter, and we recommend that as an investment for people to help identify issues for themselves and their loved ones' homes and businesses. However, even without measuring we recommend the installation of these dielectric unions for gas appliances since the problem is so incredibly common.

Luckily these is an easy fix!!! Our black iron dielectric unions eliminate the current completely. Available in 1/2 inch or 3/4 inch sizes. These are easily installed by a plumber near your appliance. This breaks the continuity - breaks the bad electrical circuit that shouldn't be there, and solves your EMF issues! Must be installed by a licensed/qualified plumber.
