You don't have to give up WiFi and give up performance along with it!  Nor do you have to pay through the nose.  We're offering this top-of-the-line Wired-only Internet Router for our customer's ease-of-use.  This plug-and-play router (ready to power up and plug in) is ready to go and enable you to use your Internet connection with multiple devices - computers, TVs, printers, tablets/phones, etc.  Don't want WiFi at all - this is the best way to ensure it.  Get a cable or dsl modem with no wireless capability, and hook it to this router which also has no wireless function or capability at all.  This will allow you to network your devices the old fashioned way - fast, reliable, and free from microwave radiation.

Just plug your cable modem into the Internet port - and your devices (computers, TVs, etc) into eth 1, 2, 3, and 4.  If you need more ports, simply hook up a Gigabit switch and expand and hook up dozens or even hundreds of devices.

There are a couple other routers available by other manufacturers - TP-Link for example.  These have been recommended by some EMF Consultants.  However, the performance of these routers comes nowhere near to the performance of our wired router.  Tests of, for example the TP-Link TL-R600VPN router, show it's WAN speed (Internet) is not capable of full Gigabit speed.  It is only capable of 1/4 of that speed - or about 250 megabits per second.  Our router is built for high-performance and ruggedness - withstanding both higher and lower temperatures - optimized power consumption - and pure speed and features available for advanced users if desired.  We used to carry another model, the ER-X or ERX router, but have since upgraded to this latest router which is even better!

  • Plug-and-Play design - no configuration or setup necessary
  • (1) Preconfigured Gigabit WAN (Internet) Port to connect to modem
  • (4) Preconfigured (LAN) local ports to connect to computers, TVs, printers, etc Ethernet devices
  • Groundable Ethernet ports
  • Includes power adapter
  • Also supports POE
  • Supports multiple Internet connections if desired
  • Supports latest networking features such as Routing, NAT, Firewall, VPN, IPv6, QoS, and much more with what is perhaps the industry's most advanced firmware

Extremely simple to hook up:

Plug cable or DSL or fiber modem/gateway into Port 0 on our router and power up our router.  Plug client computers/devices or switches into Ports 1-4.  Power down your cable/dsl/fiber modem for 30 seconds.  Power the modem back up.  Your devices should all have fast gigabit connection to the Internet and also be protected by our router's firewall!

Rating Delivers Beyond Expectations
The EdgeRouter™ X is a 'must-have' router for anyone who prioritizes speed and reliability when it comes to an internet connection. There is absolutely no radiofrequency (RF) radiation being emitted at all and this was verified by my RF detector. This unit is pre-configured by the experienced folks at ElectraHealth which means that all you have to do is power down your modem, connect the wired router to the modem, turn the power back on to the modem and you're ready to go! It cannot get easier than that. There is neither the need to watch a confusing video to set up the router nor will you have to hire a technical expert to connect this for you. This is the best investment I have made for my household! I felt compelled to write this review for the benefit of anyone who has had reservations about making the leap to getting 'wired'. You can feel 110% confident about this purchase! In a world where we are constantly bombarded with wireless (microwave) radiation, the move to a wired internet connection has never been more seamless or necessary. ElectraHealth helped me do this and I'll be a customer for life! With the increased need to teleconference and work from home, everyone needs a more secure and reliable internet connection that is constant and at a faster speed...without any RF! This product delivers! Thank you, ElectraHealth! *Purchased with several CAT7 Premium Low-EMF Ethernet Cables for the devices that are already connected to the EdgeRouter™ X....working like a dream!

Questions and Answers
Q: Will this router work with century link land line?
Asked by: jim - 4/12/2019 (Submit an answer)
A: You bet - it will work with ANY Internet connection. It is a universal router, plug-and-play ready to go.

You can plug this into your current modem/router device, and then you may need to configure your device to turn wireless completely off and to act as a "Gateway" or in "Gateway" or "Modem" mode and not "Router/NAT" mode. Your Internet company can help you with that, or we can help you via a phone consulting session and/or do a screen share.

If you have already shut off Wireless on your current device, then you don't *need* to do anything except just plug in this device.

Q: Is this a router or a hub? In other words, after I plug this in to my cable modem, will it create a new subnet for the devices underneath it, or will devices be on the same subnet as the cable modem? (In other words is it a router with firmware or a hub?) Thanks!
Asked by: David - 7/10/2021 (Submit an answer)
A: This is an actual router. It is NOT just a switch. It has a 4-port switch built-in, as most routers do, but this is an actual full-functional router device that is very sophisticated.

Q: What about security? Are there firmware updates? How are those updates provided?
Asked by: Steven - 1/19/2022 (Submit an answer)
A: Yes, firmware updates are released regularly and are available when you login to the router's web administration. It is very easy to do - just click a button to check for updates and download/install. It is a very automated process.

Q: The internet company will be by to install fiber optics to enable wired internet in the house. I will supply the router and was told fiber optics that are in the ground, will serve as the modem. Does a wired-only router with no wireless capability, give off none or less EMF's than a router that can do both wired and wireless? Please provide any other products and suggestions that will help to eliminate or reduce EMF's. Thank you.
Asked by: Jan - 7/28/2021 (Submit an answer)
A: For fiber optic - the Internet provider has to provide a fiber optic node device. This usually converts the fiber optic to Ethernet. Often (like ATT) they provide a second device too that is a gateway/router/security device. This often has WiFi (ick). If you want to use your own router and dump theirs, you just need to make sure you can actually replace their router. Often their router is still necessary to be installed somewhere, but the WiFi can be disabled. We can help via phone consulting if you need personalize support.

Q: We are looking to hardwire our house, and need more Ethernet ports. Can multiple of these be purchased and be used as a switch or is there a switch that ElectraHealth recommends? Are there any online guides that are recommended to help with hardwiring ones house? Thank you!
